Brazing Joints for Copper and Copper Alloy Pressure Fittings

This Standard Practice establishes requirements for joints for copper and copper alloy pressure-fittings assembled by brazing into a piping system with BAg or BCuP materials. This standard is allied to American National Standards ASME B16.18-2002, Cast Copper Alloy Solder Joint Pressure Fittings, and ASME B16.22-2002, Wrought Copper and Copper Alloy Solder Joint Pressure Fittings. It was developed for the purpose of providing dimensional information in regard to recommended minimum dimensions for male-end lengths and female-cup depths suitable for brazing for the pressure-temperature ratings of Table 1.
